The band has been together for a little over 2 years now. Occasionally adding new members as the need comes. It started out with Brad Gibson (lead vocals, guitar) playing gigs in people's living rooms. Playing request after request and learning songs for the next time. That evolved into playing gigs at bars in Raleigh. After a few shows, Gibson decided to add depth and dynamic to the sound with the addition of John Moody (guitar, back up vocals). As time progressed and the following became greater, the addition of percussion became evident. Phillipe "Natty Cave" Charles and Steven Such were the top picks for the job. Charles, a rapper/singer/songwriter himself, had been preparing his own music for years and now adds a different twist on songs otherwise thought to lack in flare. Steven Such, a long time percussionist, adds unique syncopation and rhythm on the djembe. Together, their highs and lows really make the song move. Recently, the band welcomed Spencer Daniels (guitar, vocals) to the mix. Daniels adds yet another opportunity to grow and evolve into a sound that is unforgettable. As time goes on, be sure to check for updates about new venues and new tunes. And if you'd like to get in contact with the Brad Gibson Band, email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
