Ronny Munroe is one of the most energetic and prominent singers in the music industry today, whose commitment and passion for music are embodied on stage and throughout his long career as front man of well known bands from the Seattle area, with Metal Church being his last band before launching his solo career with his debut album entitled "The Fire Within".
From the moment he takes the stage Ronny has the attention of the crowd. His powerful vocal style and stage prowess sets him apart from other singers. He is an accomplished artist who has studied singing techniques with Maestro David P. Kyle, whose students include: Geoff Tate (Queensryche), Nancy and Ann Wilson (Heart), Terry Young (Rail) and Layne Staley (Alice in Chains).
Throughout his career he has performed alongside leading artists like Motorhead, Queensryche, Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, System of a Down, Blind Guardian, Fear Factory, Black Sabbath and Dio, among others, and has completed numerous live performances in Europe and America, including massive festivals like Wacken Open Air, Rock Hard Fest, Graspop, Sweden Rock, Bang Your Head, BW & BK, and Rocklahoma and more. He has also performed at prestigious venues like the House of Blues (Chicago, Cleveland, LA), BB King's (NY) and the Roberto Clemente Coliseum (San Juan, Puerto Rico), to name a few.
Ronny Munroe was awarded for his musical contributions during his 25-year plus career in the music industry during the 11th Edition of Mortal Fest 2009 in Guadalajara, Mexico . He was also nominated for best Hard Rock/Metal Song of the year with "Far" and "Across the Sea Of Souls" for the Independent Music Awards 2009.
Ronny is a passionate musician, and an insightful lyricist whose songs are noted for their depth yet universal way of approaching issues that anyone can relate to. Proof of this is his first solo record "The Fire Within", co-produced by Kurt Vanderhoof of Metal Church and Ronny himself. This CD exemplifies Munroe's dedication and true force in the metal world, with 12 blistering tracks that definitely solidify him as a solo artist.
Ronny also worked with the Progressive rock act "Presto Ballet" and released both a full length record with them entitled, "Invisible Places" and a second release, an EP, entitled "Like What You've Done With The Place".
Classic power metal is still alive and well with Ronny Munroe's sophomore CD entitled, "Lords Of The Edge", and is hands down his finest work to date. Featuring the guitar mastery of Stu Marshall (Empires of Eden), Chris Caffery (TSO/Savatage), and Michael Wilton (Queensryche), Lords Of The Edge is a true metal offering that delivers an onslaught of fist-pumping, guitar-driven heavy metal.
Lords Of The Edge gives us 12 new solid tracks of melodic metal that can only be described as one of those rare albums that captures the magic of the classic metal era. "We wanted to create something that was totally new, but at the same time, something that true metal fans could hear everything that we were influenced by growing up in the classic metal era", says Ronny on the recording of the new CD. "Lords Of The Edge sounds a little bit like what would happen if you put Metal Church's "Light in the Dark" CD into a blender with Queensryche's first EP and Judas Priest's "Painkiller", then mixed it with some present day themes and a shot of pure adrenaline."
Around the same time as "LOTE" was released in 2011, Ronny was sought out as one of the vocalists for the Trans-Siberian Orchestra, playing "the bum" to sold out audiences across North America. His performance was so powerful and convincing, that he was invited to play Mephistopheles (Satan) for TSO's "Beethoven's Last Night" spring tour 2012.
Metal Church reunites with Ronny resuming lead vocals - watch for the new album to be released September 2013 and major tour to follow!!

Each year Rotary International is given the United Nations for a world-wide conference that focuses on global solutions, and especially our "youth". In 2009 Ronny Munroe of the Trans Siberian Orchestra, Metal Church, and his own solo projects, 2008’s "The Fire Within" and his most recent release, "Lords of the Edge", both released on Rat Pak Records, wrote and composed a song to tribute the many volunteers from around the world with his rendition of "Together We Can Make a Difference". Lyrics were printed up on t-shirts featuring Ronny's signature "outreached arms", on bumper stickers, pins and CD's featuring the song.
This was a first for the UN, and the audience loved it! All CD's and T's going back to every corner of the world after being picked up by the youth leaders whose hush during the performance was a tribute to the moving message that Ronny put forth in the UN Assembly Room.
