The Chris Low Band is an original Red Dirt Texas Country Band from the Heart of the Lone Star State, driven by a fierce passion to deliver authentic and soul-reaching songs to the ears of it’s listeners. This family of musicians brings flavorful intensity to every stage they grace, drawing new fans and creating new friendships with every performance.
The Chris Low Band family consists of Chris Low, JC Pringle, Shannon White, John Laufenberg, and Clint Tweedle. Since their formation in February of 2011, the Chris Low Band has been on the rise in the Texas Music Scene. They were named the 2011 and 2012 Best Live Performance Group in Central Texas and the Country Band of the Year in 2012 by The Music Association of Central Texas (M.A.C.T.)
The “CLB” as they are known by all of their fans, have shared the stage with the likes of Aaron Watson, Wade Bowen, Bleu Edmondson, Gary P. Nunn, Drew Womack, Cody Johnson, The Bellamy Brothers, The Casey Donahew Band, and Stoney LaRue.
Their first CD, Lone Star State of Mind, was released in September of 2012 and they are currently in studio working on their sophomore album due for release in 2014. Singer/songwriter Chris Low pours his heart & soul into the stirring lyrics of his songs, ranging from such topics as being born and raised in Texas (“Lone Star State of Mind” and “Lone Star Child”); winning and losing in love (“Crazy” and “She Counted Me Out”); to the heart felt tribute “Shaken Not Stirred” (A Song for the Town of West, Texas). “Songwriting allows me the outlet to express emotions that I otherwise would never be able to express…in other words, it helps me keep my sanity!” says Chris.
The CLB is excited for what the future holds and will continue their focus of providing a memorable, entertaining, and uniquely “Texas” live performance experience for their fans. They feel that fans will embrace their second album and the new songs that come with it and they look forward to reaching out to their ever growing fan base affectionately referred to as CLB-lievers!!!
And so goes the saying...
