The Assortment of Crayons / Bio

The Assortment of Crayons began as an idea between two musicians and middle school youngsters named Matthew. Through the aging and disbandment of various other bands (see Stew, Melt, S.R.E. and an unnamed metal band) the Assortment of Crayons grew to become the amorphous collective it is today. While only one Matthew remains from the original lineup all of the current members have outside connections that eventually led to them connecting within band. Songs are mainly composed by one member and arranged by everybody together. Are philosophy is to make people dance... and think, all while we rock it. Improvisation is key in origination of the crayon's music and plays a vital role in live performances by the band.
