Life is what you make of it less a pinch of bad luck plus a dash of Grace.
Owner /Chef/ performer at Ri'chard's Cafe in Whites Creek, TN (www.richardscafe.com ) .... Gulf coast native and not a bad songwriter or cook. Blessed with a loving wife Debbie and four independant children and too much more to list.
Richard performs out often, does at least two Blue Bird Early shows a year (all sold out) as well as invited guest spots. He is a regular invited guest at SXSW in Austin and Frank Brown festival in Alabama.
He has done everything from being a corporate business manager to repairing cars, participating in almost every spot, and cooking great southern meals, so he can relate to almost anyone on almost any subject. This diversity is echoed in his songwriting style from rock to county to Americana to contemporary Christian. He can read an audience and hit them where they sit, stand or dance.
Richard has written hundreds of songs with Nashville pros and up and coming artists as well as as many solo written tunes. He loves tempos to make your toes tap, country story songs that make you laugh or cry (but mostly feel), and possitive message songs that inspire. His on stage stories and quips are very entertaining and compel the audience to hang out and listen.
Richard is a multi-instrumentalist and plays rythm, bass and lead guitars, harmonica, drums, mandolin and a little dobro. He usually brings one or more of his talented Nashville cats as side men and does a full band set each month at his music venue cafe with the Gata Bait Band.
His cooking as well as entertaining musical style has gotten him on local and international TV and web spots like Nashville's Channel 4 cooking spots, Tennessee Crossroads and recently Scottish BBC TV at his last Blue Bird Cafe show.
