Sadie Blu is a 26 year old Singer/ Songwriter and guitarist based out of Pensacola, Florida. Her songs are relatable owed to the fact that they are brazenly honest and personal.
Sadie grew up as a minister's daughter near Enterprise, Alabama. At an early age, she was introduced to Jazz and Blues music through local radio stations. She quickly began following iconic artists such as Janis Joplin, Billie Holiday, and Rosemary Clooney, as well as, Stevie Nicks, Bob Dylan, and Kris Kristofferson.
In 2008, Sadie briefly moved to the Atlanta area where she played music venues such as, Eddie's Attic, Smith's Olde Bar, Tasty World, and an Atlanta Blues Festival. In the latter part of '08, she returned to Pensacola to perform an hour long televised concert comprised of her original material for the local PBS station, WSRE's "Studio Amped" concert series. She has also played live for the University of West Florida's radio station programs, The Blue Plate Special and The Acoustic Interlude. Since returning to Florida, in spite of developing chronic health issues, she began and continues to play periodically at local music venues.
In 2014, she performed at the Vinyl Music Hall in Pensacola, opening for Ben Taylor, the son of James Taylor and Carly Simon, where her performance was enthusiastically received with a standing ovation. Recently, Sadie began working with Grammy Award winning, CMA, AMA, ACM, and Billboard Award winning Producer and Singer/ Songwriter, Ricky Lee Phelps, formerly of the bands the Kentucky Headhunters and Brother Phelps. She is preparing for the release her first single, "One Thing," while she is recording her debut EP (Release Date Pending). Music has always been a crucial lifeline to Sadie, and she hopes that her music will serve as the same for others.
