Clay Brooker: Singer/Songwriter/Guitarist
From the time He was very young, Singer/Songwriter Clay Brooker had been dreaming of being a country music artist. Growing up listening to artists/bands like Merle Haggard, Hank Williams, Jr., Ricky Skaggs, and Lynyrd Skynyrd molded him to be the musician he is today.
At the age of fourteen, Clay received his first guitar from his parents as a Christmas gift and it didn't take him long to learn the traditional country music that he still loves so much today. Shortly after Clay got the guitar he began songwriting and singing. When He was sixteen years old he performed for the first time at a family friend's fish fry and that kicked off the start to Clay Brooker Music. Since then Clay has been "paying his dues", playing at local restaurants and venues in Alachua County and surrounding areas. Right out of high school Clay made his first trip to Nashville and had the opportunity of playing at venues like The Wheel, The Commodore, and Tootsies Bar. Nashville taught him a lot about the music business, being a Singer/Songwriter and how to be a better entertainer.
2012 has been Clay Brooker's most exciting year yet! He had the privilege of going to Nashville to perform at Kevin Carter's "Waiting for Wishes" Charity event, and performing at the 2012 Suwannee River Jam in Live Oak, FL.
Clay now has added The Clay Brooker Band (CBB) to accompany him in his playing and they now have many various combinations of sounds from solo, duet, trio and full band!
The Clay Brooker Band started on July 4th, 2012, at the city of Alachua 4th of July Celebration. "It was our first gig and we absolutely nailed it", said band leader Clay Brooker. From that moment on CBB has been booking more shows and drawing bigger crowds. The biggest show yet for the band was at the Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park in Live Oak FL. The Clay Brooker Band consist of Clay Brooker (Guitar, Vocals), Cory Brooker (Guitar), Logan Humphries ( Lead Guitar, Banjo, Mandolin), Zach Brown (Drums), and Topper Fitch ( Bass).
"I am truly blessed to have such a great group of people be a part of my band. Also my fans are amazing! Thank you all so much for the love support that you have shown me!"
