“DuWaup” is a big thing in a small package. She’s a singer, songwriter, poet and spoken word artist. She has been writing creatively for more than a decade and her passion for the arts shines through in all that she undertakes. She is known for her warm and welcoming smile and her energy is said to be “contagious”. DuWaup's approach is straightforward and her words pack a serious punch.
In June 2009, DuWaup rereleased her independent debut CD, "Soul Confessions”. “Soul Confessions” exposed DuWaup to the world as a multi-talented singer, song writer, poet and spoken word artist. In June 2011, DuWaup released her second independent CD, “Play At Your Own Risk” which is a collection of poems recorded over hip-hop tracks produced by industry veteran, Vibe-One. The CD title, "Play At Your Own Risk", completely captures what is to be expected once the play button is pushed. In poems like “Snow Confessions”, “Down & Out” and “Luck Be A Lady”, DuWaup plays with words like toddlers play with toys but with messages constructed for grown folks only. She goes in for the kill with no apologies on “Bamboozled”, “FUSYD (Fucked Up Shit You Do)” and “Ball of Confusion” but shows her soft and seductive sides in “”Bridges” and “Snow Confessions”. Warning: “Play At Your Own Risk”
