Annie Crawford began singing in church when she was ten years old, and is currently the Music Director/Worship Leader at Faith Christian Fellowship in Knoxville, TN. Her parents love all kinds of music, everything from oldies to Christian Rock, and she credits them for the reason she is so eclectic.
Annie was Introduced to Contemporary Christian Music by her father, who worked in Christian Radio and D.J.'d for Christian skate night at the local roller rink. In third grade, at eight years old, she knew what she wanted to do with the rest of her life. Annie was going to be a singer, like so many of those she admired. She was first inspired by Amy Grant, Kathy Trocolli, Michael W. Smith, Steven Kurtis Chapman, and D.C. Talk. Her more recent influences are Delirious, Hillsong, Sean Mcdonald, Kristy Nockles, Cold Play, The Frey, Anna Nalik, to name a few.
In highschool, Annie felt like she was truely starting to know Jesus as more than a savior, but as a friend. As she developed a closer relationship with God, she began to write songs about her faith. Annie continues to write songs about her love for God, as well as every day life situations, and she is often inspired by her family and friends.
In 2011, Annie began to receive some new direction from God about her future. She realized that not only should she continue to serve God as a worship leader, but that she needed to take her music to venues in the community. Her goal is to take a message of hope to a lost and hurting world. Her music is positive and uplifting. It encourages people, and reminds them that they are important, that they are destined for greatness.
Annie continues leading worship on Sundays and playing gigs during the week. Her goals are to travel more and continue to reach out through music. Annie would also like to connect with other musicians and industry professionals who understand her vision and have similar goals.
