I grew up in Bowling Green, Kentucky with a beer in one hand and a shot of whiskey in the other. My favorite artists early on were the Beatles, the Everly Brothers and Smokey Robinson. My first band mostly played Lynyrd Skynyrd covers. My second band mostly played originals with some Cheap Trick, Replacements and Bill Lloyd thrown in for good measure. In 1990, I moved to Lexington and started playing guitar in an ear-shattering combo with a bunch of drunk redneck hoodlums. We called ourselves Ted Bundy's Volkswagon. We toured for four years, signed a five record deal and promptly broke up. In 1999 I moved to Athens, Georgia and played out for three years as Plastic Bird. Athens was fun. I miss it sometimes. Right now I'm in Rochester, NY of all places (bless my heart). I'm currently writing and recording as LOADED GOAT. All of these songs are my attempt to take acoustic songwriting seriously. Presently, though, i feel like going electric on eleven and making a bloody racket of things. Stay tuned and thanks… holler anytime. Peace.
