16 Barz, born Anthony Devon Jeter in the mean streets of Brooklyn, developed a passion for music at an early age. Inspired by artists like Tupac and Nas he developed his talents as a lyricist through lunchroom rap battles and underground performances. As a Young Kid he moved to Long Island, NY where he used his Brooklyn influences to further develop his skills as a rapper. After high school 16 attended Five Towns college where he met Dax and Deme D, two fellow aspiring rap artists. In 2006 the trio formed a group known as Lynk Fam, resulting in three mixtapes; Lynk Fam Volume 1, Volume 2(Back n Better), and The Expendables. Although still part of the group, 16 Barz decided to branch out on a solo career releasing two mixtapes titled Save The Best For Last and his latest project Fuck The Game. His style is authentic with society conscious lyrics, yet versatile enough to still produce those club bangers. 16 Barz is currently working on a new mixtape titled Hip Hop Kids which will be released later on this year.
