Big Brother Smokes / Bio

Big Brother Smokes was formed in Saginaw, Michigan in the summer of 2011. Driven and inspired by a collection of genres, the band created a distinct, unique sound. Their inspirations and style are a blend of Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Sublime, Incubus, and Coheed and Cambria. In an area predominantly know for Rock and Country cover bands, BBS took the area by storm with a brand new style. With welcoming ears, their fan base grew even larger. With much anticipation, the band debuted their first EP album less than a year later. Following the release, BBS booked many shows across the state of Michigan and parts of Illinois, including an opening spot for Ben Kenney of Incubus at the Hard Rock Cafe Detroit.

Taking a small break from the road, they began recording their second album entitled "Waves", which was released in 2013. Once again the album was a success having won multiple awards including best CD Release and Best Album from the 28th Annual Review Music Awards. "Waves" also helped them win other awards including Best Original Band and Best Songwriter. Big Brother Smokes has achieved many milestones in their early career. They've come a long way from the garage to the big stages and are enjoying every minute of it.
