Andolino began, as bands often do, with three friends (Alex Hamilton, Andrew Miller and Andrew Weber) rocking out in a basement, and few aspirations of “playing shows.” Thirty-minute jams were eventually crafted into coherent songs, and when mutual friend Seth Showalter returned from a year of living in Morocco, the group of four felt the
need to subject others to the noise they had been creating. Several months later, Bryant Gingerich was recruited to fill in for a missing band member at a show, and it was immediately apparent how indispensable he was. Since then they have been playing music that they love to play, with few limitations as to style or subject, influenced
by everything from the floating melodies of alternative rock, to the beauty and simplicity of folk music.
