De'Lovely Romance...
Lisa Donna’s fondest memory on stage is with her mom, at age six, performing for the Officer’s Wives Fundraising Concert in Sarawak, Borneo. Soon after, Lisa Donna was singing professionally around Kuala Lumpur at venues such as the Hard Rock Cafe, Concord Hotel, Piccadily's, etc. She won the KDU Freshie Queen Talent Competition singing "The Greatest Love of All", and made it to the Kuala Lumpur Bintang Harapan Nescafe (Star Search).
After some acting stints and work in TV commercial, Lisa Donna left Malaysia to pursue the American Dream. First stop; Boston, where she was an On-Air Host/DJ for JazzOasis and Producer for Gyroscope World Music at WERS 88.9FM. Music has afforded Lisa Donna an incredible adventure, filled with magical moments, she won’t forget, namely; when she got up to sing at the Grand Re-Opening of The Joy Theater in New Orleans, and on another starry night in Harlem, New York, when she got up on stage to dance, at the Apollo Theater, just as her idol, Ella Fitzgerald had done in 1934. She gingerly touched the same Tree of Hope and made a wish...
