In May 2011, F.R.O.G. & T.O.A.D. changed their group name to 1One. This change was made for numerous reasons; in November of 2010, they were faced with some difficult issues that would've caused any normal couple to walk away from each other & God. Eric Keith (F.R.O.G.) actually considered not doing music anymore. However, due to God's true redemption of their marriage, & after months of prayer and asking God for direction, He revealed the name 1ONE. It stands for two 1's coming together to make 1. Additionally, while F.R.O.G. & T.O.A.D. were powerful acronyms, which stood for Fully Reliant On God & Totally Out Against the Devil, it was realized that they were names strictly for the season that God had them in at the time. As they began to grow and expand their reach they began to realize that God was calling them to something different. Not to mention they were getting too old for the name.
“Eric Keith” (Formally known as F.R.O.G.) Chaffer, from the age of 14, led a destructive life with no focus or foreseen hope. Gangs, drugs, alcohol, and sex consumed his life, often times leaving him feeling empty and emotionally detached from other people. At the age of 17 he was faced with an ultimatum; go to job corps or be disowned by family. He chose the former. It was at his going away party that he met Megan Dudley, who he had no idea would soon become the mother of his child. On April 12, 2003, Eric was attending a church retreat that he had been invited to by his 3 months pregnant girlfriend Megan. At this retreat, Eric’s questions of God’s reality was answered. Eric made the biggest decision he had ever been faced with and dedicated his life to Jesus Christ. The next day Eric decided he wanted to spend the rest of his life with Megan, and a week later they married. Eric soon discovered he was blessed with a gift to spread the gospel through the vehicle of hip hop. Instead of drugs, sex, and money, his raps were now filled with the Word of God. After writing and recording his first song, Eric knew that this was what he was called to do. Months later, his wife Megan joined along side him, and they formed the group FROG & TOAD.
Megan “LaTonya” (Formally known as T.O.A.D.) Chaffer grew up in the church, but never dedicated her life to God until her sophomore year in highschool when she was 16 years old. For the next two years she struggled and went back and forth between fornication, alcohol, and occasionally drugs, and serving God. At the age of 17, she met Eric Chaffer at a party that was being thrown for him. They hit it off instantly and nine months later they discovered that Megan was pregnant. Knowing that she was now facing a big responsibility of raising a child, Megan decided she wanted to raise her child to know God. In doing that, she knew that she herself needed to be fully dedicated to the Lord to show her child the proper way. Megan knew that Eric wouldn’t support her decision in this, so she planned to end the relationship during a church retreat. However, things didn’t go according to Megan’s plans, who was now three months pregnant. On April 12, 2003, Eric gave his life to Christ at the retreat, while Megan fully surrendered her life back to Christ. The next day Eric proposed, and a week later they married. Eric and Megan were now attending a church where there was no choir. Singing was a big part of Megan’s life and she missed singing in a choir. When an opportunity presented itself for Megan to join her husband and sing while he rapped, she jumped at it. They formed the group FROG & TOAD in 2004.
Holy Rock Records was formed in January of 2007. The record label started off as F.R.O.G. & T.O.A.D. Ministries in 2004 with FROG & TOAD as the sole group. They were joined in late 2006 by the group Called Un2, and they all agreed upon a new name for the label; “Holy Rock”. They were later joined in early 2007 by the artist G.L.S. After the release of “Leaps and Bounds”(F.R.O.G. & T.O.A.D.) and “The Elect the EP”(Called Un2), HOLY ROCK began to move forward without artist G.L.S. in the ranks. In early 2009, Called Un2 decided to respectfully step back from the umbrella of HOLY ROCK to further their music independantly. F.R.O.G. & T.O.A.D. are now focusing on their sophmore album “The Illustration”, which is a picture on how God’s been shaping and molding them into the saints that He’s called them to be, as well as the trials they’ve gone through in this christian walk. The focus of Holy Rock Records is to allow God’s Holy Spirit to illuminate through them, and to minister using the “vehicle” of Holy Hip-Hop. F.R.O.G.(C.E.O.)- Just merged studios with the C.E.O. of Genuine Life to form Yadah Da King studios. F.R.O.G. & T.O.A.D. have been touching the lives of many people from young to old. The songs they minister display a deep love for Jesus Christ and how He’s changed their lives. In July of 2009, F.R.O.G. & T.O.A.D. won the best Hip Hop group at the 4th annual ITM awards.
