LARRY LAMPKIN / Bio

Larry Lampkin is an American blues guitarist and singer-songwriter. He was born and raised in Fort Worth Texas, where he still resides today. Larry started writing songs and playing guitar as a teenager. He is mostly a self taught musician but had the privilege of taking some guitar lessons from experienced neighbor musicians, such as blues legend, U.P. Wilson. Larry would later tour the USA as a lead guitarist and band leader for recording artist, soul-blues singer, Vernon Garrett. He would then release his first CD titled “When I Get Home”, and it received immense air play and reviews. Larry performed on the American blues scene as a solo artist, sharing the stage and ticket with some of the world’s greatest blues artist such as, Lucky Peterson, Buddy Guy, John Mayall and many more. Larry is a unique songwriter who writes about everyday life experiences, and is one of the most exciting new blues guitar players coming onto the scene today. He is a passionate artist who performs from the soul. He is greatly influenced by the sounds of Texas, Chicago, and Delta blues. There is no doubt that Larry Lampkin is committed to delivering the ultimate experience to the fans of blues music with his new CD titled “The Blues Is Real”.
