Red Rokk the poetic messenga!!
In the summer of 1974 Curtis R Cardinal a full blooded cree from Wabasca, Alberta was born. At birth he was not breathing and had to be revived by a needle. As his heart started beating so was the beating of the drum and a hard life followed. As a young boy he was lost in a world where he was constantly moving from one place to another because his parents split at the age of 4. Growing up he was unable to find his meaning in life as he was surrounded by alcohol and had a dysfunctional family. With 1 brother micheal and 3 sisters Jenna, Candace and Miranda his love from his family was always there to grasp but his future of living in poverty had begun at an early age. At the age of 5 he had went to live with his grandmother Theresa whom with 14 children of her own had raised him til he was 10. In the summer of 1982 he was introduced to the art of hip hop by his uncle Grant. Once lost, searching for his meaning in life, Curtis had found his calling. Breakdancing on the streets and watching his uncle perform would later on in life help guide him to a better lifestyle and a reason to live. Battling his inner demons throughout life, such as poverty, alcoholism, depression, racism, and having a dysfunctional family, Curtis had turned to music to help him see his future and to see his inner talent. Performing across Canada with various groups such as Reddnation, Won 18 and Young Souls. Learning from his past struggles and seeking his path in life the hardships had made him as strong as a rock.
