I grew up with the mountains in my backyard and the great salt lake in my front. I always loved exploring those two things and rarely did it without listening to tunes. I'm the youngest in my family and inherited a lot of music from my siblings. I remember many saturday mornings where we would all wake up to my dad watching music videos and so we'd all run into the living room and proceeds to share our music spoils from the previous week. All of my siblings took some form of professional music lesson and yet my parents never prodded me that way. And so overtime I naturally taught myself how to play drums, guitar, piano and developed my ability to sing. I taught myself mostly from blaring my music when no one was home and trying my best to match the voice. So I can honestly say my music teachers were Jared Letto, Stephan Jenkins, Adam Duritz and Marcus Mumford. It took me many years to gain confidence to sing in front of people especially my own family. Through great friends I finally started performing as a singer and guitarist even before i was singing privately for my family. Eventually I developed my talent of singing towards the end of my senior year in high school and started singing with Olivia Stevens in the band Your Surrender. The process of writing and recording our album really stretched me musically and helped me to grow from there. Day I uploaded our album The Day Th Sky Split In Two was also the day I became a missionary for the church of Jesus Christ of latter-day saints. I served in Buffalo and Rochester, NY for two years and over that time changed my style and desire of music. So after all of these experiences I am now able to truly express myself through music. There is much to come.
