M.O.R.T. -- The Mystic Order of Reverb and Twang / Bio

The Mystic Order of Reverb and Twang is dedicated to the vintage sounds of rockabilly, rhythm and blues, country-western and instrumental music -- from “The King Of The Jukebox” (Louis Jordan) to “The King Of The Twangy Guitar” (Duane Eddy.) And of course "THE King" (Elvis, natch!)

Wild early rockers like Little Richard and Jerry Lee Lewis rub shoulders with swinging R&B by The Clovers and The Moonglows, New Orleans hits by Fats Domino and Smiley Lewis, blues from Jimmy Reed and Freddie King, rockabilly from Johnny Burnette, country from Buck Owens… capped off with a clutch of classic instrumentals (they were everywhere in the late 50s/early 60s) from Bill Doggett’s “Honky Tonk” to Link Wray’s “Rumble” to The Ventures’ “Walk Don’t Run.”
