Y i YELL! (Why I YELL !) Came together when two brothers, Michael (18) and Demitri Lerios (13), met Gaby Symons (18), the girl next door. Instantly the three found a common ground with their love for music. It didn't take long for them to develop their unique style and hone their skills as musicians and writers. Y I YELL! has been working hard on their soon-to-be-released self titled EP, Y i YELL! With the release of their first single "Always The Weekend", the band is excited to share their music with the world. Currently managed by Peter Rudge and John Ferriter of Octagon Entertainment, the band has been on a journey to develop their creative force that is synonymous with their name. Y i YELL ! defines a great deal of what the band stands for and is a concept that Michael, Gaby and Demitri came up with to represent our fast paced society. In a world where we receive information instantaneously and are expected to have answers for everything, Y I YELL ! is on a mission to define the expression of a young generation. To share the everyday problems that we are all faced with on a small and large scale. To show just what it means to be a young band in a society that is constantly on the go, but hardly ever slowing down to really pay attention to the world around them. With the social networking revolution, smart phones and 24 hour news, media has become a complete white out and yet these three kids have band together to do more than just share their passion of music. They have come together to express their frustrations, economies are collapsing and wars are tearing us apart, but there is still a lot of good out there. We just need to take a step back and see it. Y I YELL ! intends to establish themselves and give a voice to those who feel overwhelmed by even the simplest daily chores… there are so many reason Why We Yell!...with songs expressing escapism such as it’s “Always the Weekend” and “Are We Too Loud”. Michael, Gaby and Demitri are here to speak their minds and yell with one common voice, they are “sick of this crazy scene… and just want to have a little fun” -Y i YELL ! (Why I YELL) 2011 ..
