Award winning singer/songwriter, worship leader and 2012 WAMI Rising Star Nominee, Becca Richter, has gained an international fan-base with her developed vocals & instrumentals, all of which she composes herself. Becca has been likened to Jewel & keeps her audiences interested with sounds of pop, country, jazz & contemporary Christian music. Becca's hit single "You're The One" was voted to be included on the 2013 Global Rockstar Album to be distributed worldwide. Becca won "Video of the Year" in Season 3 of Teenage Rockstar, earning her a trip to Austria to work with members of the popular, platinum-selling band, "Papermoon" and perform for an audience of 20,000 at Lichterfest. Becca was invited to a private audition for the producers of "The Voice" and has auditioned for American Idol.
Becca’s original song, “Honey Bee” was chosen as the winning entry for the 2011 May YobiSing contest. Her song "Favorite Place" was the Grand Prize winner of the 2012 Teen YobiSing contest and her song “I’ll Come Home” is currently a finalist in the Season 5 YobiSing contest.
Becca debuted her original music in Nashville, TN, where she appeared at the Bluebird Cafe, Douglas Corner Cafe & Ri'chard's Cafe. Becca won the "Big Star US Tour" competition and was named "Artist of the Month" in the Teenage Rockstar competition based in Austria, earning herself a Yamaha electric guitar and international exposure. Becca was awarded the semi-finalist position in the "Song of the Year" contest for her original work. Becca is the 2012 Distinguished Young Woman of Waukesha, a national scholarship program that honor scholastics, leadership and talent.
Becca released her first CD, “Little Things” in 2011 and released two Nashville singles “You’re the One, Wedding Song” and “Doesn’t Work That Way”, which she recorded in with producer Denny Martin and top Nashville studio musicians whose credits include Martina McBride, LeAnn Rimes, Sara Evans, Trace Adkins, Dolly Parton, Wynonna Judd, Kelly Pickler, Mark Chesnut and more. Becca opened for country star Craig Morgan at the Waukesha County Fair and was interviewed by WISN Channel 12 News for singing back-up for famed rock group, “Foreigner”. Becca has been a K-Love Radio, Civic Theater and Reborn Wellness main stage act for Waukesha Freeman Friday Night Live. She also performed on the Coors Light Stage at the Waukesha County Fair in Wisconsin and at the Greater Gulf State Fair in Alabama.
Becca has been a television guest on TMJ4’s Morning Blend, Channel 14 Viewer’s Voice, Waukesha Underground and Austrian Salzi.TV. Becca receives air play on i-Heart Radio, TAP Milwaukee, Nashville radio WKDF 103.3 FM, WSM 95.5 FM, WCCX 104.5 FM, WGTD 91.1 FM, The Edge 91.1 FM and FM 106.1 Milwaukee Country. She has been featured numerous times in the Milwaukee Journal, Waukesha Freeman, The Patch and international print press.
Becca began piano at age five, guitar at age 14 and has been singing her whole life. After her third guitar lesson, Becca woke up at 3am to compose lyrics & a guitar accompaniment for an original song, "Taken" which she performed at the Delafield Idol competition in 2009, winning the "People's Choice Award". Her love for composing music began years before, at the age of 7, when she composed several award winning compositions. Becca sang with many church, school and community ensembles and was cast in several theatrical productions. During her senior year of high school, Becca was cast as the female lead "Ariel" in the musical, "Footloose".

Becca is not only a talented musical artist, she is also a talented visual artist. Becca's artwork was displayed at the Milwaukee Art Museum as a Scholastic Gold Key Visual Arts Winner. She has also won numerous art contests including being selected as a finalist in the Google Doodle contest.
Becca continues her solo career while attending the University of Mobile, Alabama. Her heart’s desire is to use her gifts to serve God and others. Becca's current ministry as the Music Leader of "Catching Foxes", an all-female Christian band out of the University of Mobile, ministers to young women at various churches/conferences throughout the South. Catching Foxes has made appearances on ABC 33/40 Talk of Alabama and 93.7 FM, North Alabama's largest Christian radio station. Becca is currently interning at 8Eighty Records, the best, state-of-the art recording studio and Christian label south of Nashville. Becca serves as a worship leader in various churches in Alabama and Wisconsin, and has had the privilege of serving in Guatemala where she & her mission team served the families that scavenge the city dump for survival.
