Hillside Gamblers / Bio

The Hillside Gamblers are a Rock and Roll band from El Paso Texas. Formed By Hex (Guitars), Eddie Salomon (Bass) and Joey Moneyshot (Vocals), The Hillside Gamblers played a couple of local shows with immediate success. In October of 2010 Drummer Jesus De La Cruz Joined the band turning this new venture of seasoned musicians into an awesome foursome of talent and musicianship. In November 2010, The Hillside Gamblers won The 3rd Annual “Not So Psyched” Battle of the bands, competing against different up and coming bands from the area. In December 2010, The Hillside Gamblers became 1 of 8 finalists in the Shamaley Ford “Chime and Rhyme” Jingle contests. The Hillside Gamblers embrace different styles of music, From Roots and Rockabilly to Blues, Jazz and Country. Musicians that have influenced the members throughout their formative years include the likes of Johnny Cash, Stray Cats, Brian Setzer, Reverend Horton Heat, Howlin’ Wolf, Ray Charles, Stevie Ray and Jimmie Vaughan, Muddy Waters, Albert Collins & The Rolling Stones. The Gamblers are ready to take the music scene and turn it upside down with their own brand of fuel driven, Soul shaking, Good Old Rock and Roll.
