Austin based singer/songwriter/musician Wheat Bailey sings from the heart. Jackie Venson, a Berklee music graduate and friend of Wheat said it best: "you play the folk music I love."
Since moving to Austin in 1996 Wheat has played in several bands as a guitarist, keyboardist, drummer or bassist. In 2009 he began the process of writing and recording his full-length debut album. He spent the next several years adjusting and finding balance in his new life as a married family man.
Wheat Bailey's music is honest and auto-biographical. His music is relatable and his fans of all ages feel they're listening to their good friend tell a story. Like a good 'ole Texas recipe, he mixes just the right amount of folk, country, blues, soul and rock to deliver a fulfilling listening experience.
