Idea of Sakramentum has long existed in Coa`s mind, but it finally came to life one winter`s day, when Coa met Truca. Both known as great musicians they decided to start some mutual project, so Sakramentum was finally born in Serbian misty mountains in the beginning of 2011. Very soon other members joined and it started to work as a band. Songs were created, and the story was ready to be told. Our music is very melodic black metal, with heavy riffs, fast drums, both growl and scream vocals, and lots of orchestral and choir keyboard elements in it, lyrical content is mostly about our great ancient past, and ancestors, yet about many modern problems that struggle us. . .
In 2011 Coa and guitarist Truca Zivkovic began composing music and hunting for members worthy of playing in their project. The first addition to the newly forming band was popular bassist Marko Dragutinovic followed by drummer Dimitrije Vasic. The final and solidifying member of the band was vocalist Ivana Savic who had played in a variety of extreme metal bands, most popularly cult band, Kramp.
Once the bands line up had been completed, Sakramentum immediately began playing gigs and have very quickly become one of the most popular symphonic melodic metal bands in the Balkans, with loyal fans from across the region.
Sakramentum have a hauntingly beautiful sound. Coa’s carefully constructed keys mixed with Truca’s powerful guitaring leaves the listener feeling like they have embarked on a truly epic adventure. The fast paced drumming and melodic riffs coupled with Ivana’s screams and Truca’s growls continue this journey through vicious battle fields and ancient legends.
