Dreamlord were founded in June of 1994, by Babis Paleogeorgos (Rhythm Guitar) and Yiannis Kouris (Bass). After jamming with several musicians for some months, they teamed up, in January of 1995, with Yiannis Glykiotis (Lead Guitar)and Kostas Kanavidis (Drums), former members of a band named Dark Legion. This line-up was the original of the band and it lasted until March of 1997. It was with this line-up, that the band recorded the first demo “Lords Of Dream”. This demo was the first effort of the band and was distributed for free. In May of ’96, the band performed for the very first time live, in front of a 400 audience, making a very good impression. In June of 1996, drummer Kostas Kanavidis left the band, due to musical differences. The seat behind the drums was taken by the ex-Illegal drummer Vassilis Hadgis. With this new line-up, Dreamlord went on to record the second demo of the band “Altar Of Depression” in 1998. The demo received good critics. From 2001 up to 2003, Dreamlord were inactive, because of the military obligations of the band’s members. Once this issue was dealt with, Dreamlord reunited to perform a series of concerts. In January of 2005, Vassilis Hadgis left the band due to personal reasons. He was replaced by Christos Polizos. After performing a show in Athens, Dreamlord headed to the studio where they recorded their self titled CD, which was released in May of 2007. Few months later drummer Christos Polyzos left the band to return to his hometown, leaving the seat behind the drums empty. In 2009, the band started working on new material. In May of 2010, long time bassist Yiannis Kouris changed role in the band, becoming Dreamlord's new drummer and the band started looking for a replacement bassist. In August of 2010, current bass player Christos Peveretos joined the band to complete the lineup of the band once more to the one it is today. ..
