There are tons of musicians out there that say they are dedicated to making it with their music. Unfortunately a lot of that is just talk and as soon as they hit a little trouble the excuses start to come and their dream gets further and further away. The power of believing in yourself and your ability to achieve your goals means more than anything else in the music business. One artist that has figured this out is our latest find, RichardTheRockStar (RTRS). We welcome you to his world.
Richard’s music is an upbeat mix of rock, hip hop, and club music. He seems to bring the best of each of these genres to create a sound that is all his own. What really makes RTRS special though is his work ethic. He is out there working every day to expose his name and music to the world. He has developed a persona that people want to get close to and be part of his success. He is consistently performing at popular nightclubs and venues with a live show that is exciting and memorable. He cites his positivity and optimism as major parts of his success.
RichardTheRockStar felt a connection with music since his childhood. As he grew up, he started playing many different instruments. RTRS has been actively pushing his brand since 2011. Inspired to live the rockstar life and perform in front of huge audiences, he works hard to fulfill his dream.
To date, he has performed all over the United States and is about to embark on his third tour of Japan in the last 12 months. He has been one of the headlining acts two different times at Asia’s largest arts exposition “Design Festa”. The event sees crowds of 40,000 + over the weekend. He will be performing again at the festival this year in November.
He has performed with: Far East Movement, Paul Wall, Slim Thug, The New Boys, Baby Bash, Mickey Avalon, Dirt Nasty, Drop City Yacht Club, Roach Gigz, Celly Cel, Mac Mall, Sublime LBC, Keak Da Sneak, Krizz Kaliko, Yukmouth, Punik (Japan), and many more.
His music video releases have received over 250,000 hits without major label support and he has been featured in Coast 2 Coast Magazine and released his own Coast 2 Coast Mixtape.
His debut album “Rockstar Lifestyle” was released in September 2011 through Interscope Digital Distribution and is currently available on iTunes, Xbox Music, Rhapsody, Beats, Amazon Music and almost anywhere that offers digital music.
The “We Make The Club Rock Vol.1” mixtape (2012) received 100,000 hits within the first three days of its release.
RTRS’s single “Feel the Beat” climbed to the number one spot on the “Coast 2 Coast Indie Top 50” charts 9 times.
He is currently working on two more solo releases that he plans to release within the next 12 months. The album “Rockstar Lifestyle 2” and the EP “RTRS: The Revamp”.
He has recently stated he already has enough songs recorded to release the mixtape “We Make The Club Rock Vol. 2” He is just waiting for the right time.
He is also gearing up to release the duo album “Blacc Friday” with Tas Prestige (see the “Don’t Touch My Whip” video)
He has achieved many of his goals and dreams, but with the momentum that he has created for himself we can see, that this is truly just the beginning for the RTRS Franchise.
