"Born To Ashes", or "BTA" as more commonly referred to by fans, is an Alternative-Metal and Grunge Rock band based in the Shenandoah Valley of Virgina. Formerly known as "Moral Decision", the band has morphed into the current line-up consisting of Alex Ward, Jon Helbraun and Caleb Horton, all of them established heavy hitters in the regional music scene. This power-trio knows no limits when it comes to rocking a crowd with fresh, original material written and arranged by all members of the band, and faithful cover versions of Top 10 Metal songs from a variety of artists on commercial radio, internet and video channels.
Their popularity continues to grow as they perform to an energetic and loyal following across the region, gaining new fans with every show at venues and events from D.C. to Richmond, Tidewater, The Valley, and beyond. The band self-promotes heavily across a variety of media, with an extensive mailing list and e-blasts to fans keeping them up to date on upcoming events.
"Born To Ashes" performs selections from a list of approximately 110 songs which includes innovative original material drawing from the collective experiences and diverse influences of all members of the band, along with intense cover versions of crowd favorites from Heavy Metal to Grunge to Alternative Rock genres.
