Stereo Space dates back to 1997, where the drummer, vocalist and lead guitarist met in elementary, before any of them had any musical inclination. They stayed friends with each other for years while they unintentionally picked up their appropriate instruments.
Danny E. and Michael were always heavily influenced by the rising Alternative Rock bands of the 90's as well as Classic Hard Rock.
Murota's palette was wide but he favored Thrash Metal.
In high school, they met their future bassist, who was the bassist of their school's jazz band.
Danny A. learned music through school, particularly jazz bass. His taste of music varies the most but he tends to idolize the PIXIES.
After graduating high school, the drummer and vocalist decided to start the band. They asked Murota and Danny to join and their first practice together was in January 2011. After going through a list of bad names, they settled on Stereo Space.
They played a show in August 2011 at Sullivan Hall and their future 2nd guitarist was part of the crowd. Forrest liked the band so much, he wanted to join their ranks. They jammed together and the group sparked euphoria with Forrest.
His taste hits on contemporary indie music a lot. To their surprise, he was a talented musician. 2012 is in our sights and we will be recording our first LP throughout the whole year. We also want to spread our music and play in places we've dreamed of playing, such as Toronto, Boston, Vancouver and New Jersey. It's all within our reach and we strive to make reality out of possibility.
