Cyclosa started with Travis Jones' and Jade Barker's passion for music and wanting to form a band, so with Travis Jones' influences being Dave Mustain, Sami Yli Sirnio, Corey Beaulieu, Phil Demmel, Jeff Loomis and Will Ferrell he created the riffs and solos for Cyclosa.
With the influences of Jade Barker being Dave McClain, Dave Lombardo, Chris Adler, Travis Smith and Joey Jordison she created the drums beats for Cyclosa.
Needing a vocalist, they decided to bring Casey Jones into the band as they knew he had a different style of vocals that they liked, with
Casey Jones Influences being Joseph Poole (vocalist of Murderdolls and Wednesday 13) and Rob Flynn influenced the style of his vocals for Cyclosa.
Not long after Casey Jones had joined, they were in search for a bass player, and there was Shelly Turner who they all knew so she then came to join the band. With
Shelly Turners influences being Jeanne Sagan, Marc McKnight and Johnny Christ she found her love for the bass and want to play groovy bass lines for Cyclosa.
Cyclosa went on to create the songs 'Love is Murder' and 'Taking Over Me' whilst they were in search for a rhythm guitarist. Shaun Dallwitz, who was a good friend, joined Cyclosa. With
Shaun Dallwitz's influences being Willy Adler, Rob Flynn, Daron Malak, Matthew K Heafy and Jeff Ling, influenced the style that he played in Cyclosa.
With all the members wide range of influences brought together, Cyclosa's music have a different sound which is best described as a progressive thrash metal style that consists of heavy versus you can mosh to, brutal choruses and powerful lyrics you can sing to and not to mention guitar solo's any shredder would like.
Cyclosa created more songs and began playing gigs by mid 2011.
By November 2011, Cyclosa went to Andrew Kite at Against The Grain Recording Studios, who recorded and produced their debut EP 'Love is Murder'
Cyclosa has made themselves a name within the Adelaide music scene, and are violating peoples ear drums with their brutal music.
