Born March 1, 1991 in the small city of Southern Pines N.C. Darius "Daze" or "SPook The Daze" Wesson is a hip-hop artist/songwriter. Mostly known for his thought provoking lyrics and conscious yet versatile delivery he strives to make his name known to not just one but all crowds. Surrounded by music growing up from his uncle Micheal Thomas in production/film and his mother Lisa Thomas' love for singing and writing, it came to no surprise that he would be just as inspired to create the attitude changing "feel" that music can give.
At the age of 12 Darius began writing poetry and reciting rhymes of his favorite artists such as Outkast, Busta Rhymes, Styles P, Biggie, and Big Pun just to name a few. Hearing what they spoke about gave him reason to want to live life in their shoes. It wasn't until he was 16 on the strength of a challenge from another local artist that would compel him to get back to writing, as well as recording with close friends Damon "Dash" Harris and Kenneth "K.R." Hailey. Darius; then known as "SPook", along with his friends would formulate a group known as "Doom Squad".
At the age of 17 his brother/mentor/producer, Ryan "Biggs" Thomas would begin producing a sound that would later create the blueprint to the style that "Daze" now possesses. Making "sub par" songs in his opinion and falling in and out of love with music led him to take a year off with no real goal in mind. Barely making it out of high school and getting more involved with drugs and alcohol, Darius was in "his own hole". Seeing everyone around him making moves towards their dreams wasn't inspiring enough to make him do the same. "No dream is given, you must work to make it happen."
At The age of 19, he would then begin putting together the project "B.O.D" or "Brain On Drugs" which was inspired from personal life experiences and stories from peers. With Majestic Instrumentals, local label Hullabaloo Records LLC., and a few outside sources, he is putting together several projects such as a "Role Models" and "Love Tola" He is hoping to take his expanding musicianship worldwide.
