Big Iron / Bio

Remember when mainstream country music was actually cool? We do, and our aim is to demonstrate why: it was the terrific songs and the inimitable artists who wrote and performed them. We're Big Iron, a rip-roarin' band performing some classic country tracks that sound as authentic as when they first hit the airwaves and jukeboxes.
Big Iron is a five piece band with guitar, bass, drums and pedal steel that plays Bakersfield-style honkytonk country music, heavy on the twang. This is classic dancing, drinking, sing along music from Buck Owens, George Jones, Don Gibson and a slew of others. To keep things from getting predictable Big Iron also mixes in some modern tunes re-arranged in that same feel-good, barroom style so they sound like they could have come out of Nashville or Bakersfield in 1966.
