Matt Brown’s passion for music began as a child, matching melodies he heard playing from old cassettes his dad played. As he grew, he sang in secret, too shy to share his talent, and music remained a secret passion throughout his youth. During college, Matt fell in love with the guitar, and at the urging of his classmates, Brown started performing at open-mic nights and soon became inspired to write songs and continue to grow his skills as a guitarist and songwriter. After winning the 2007 Seattle University Battle of the Bands, he decided to follow his passion for making music, and started the band, Ruby Hill. After Ruby Hill disbanded, Matt chose to dedicate his life to his career in music. Matt has released two successful solo albums, received radio play, opened for national acts, and continues to grow his fan base in some of the best venues in the country. Matt will be touring the country nonstop for 2013.
