The Starship Renegade is a pop/punk band from the beautiful city of Portland, OR. The band has recently finished their second national tour that took them all over the United States. The excitement and energy of their live performances have awarded them a rapidly growing and very dedicated fan base. Their ability to draw in an audience and get every person involved has had venues and hosts calling them to come back. At the moment the band is in the studio working on a brand new EP titled "We Can Pretend" with a release date to be announced.
When The Starship Renegade formed in early 2011, there wasn't much to say. A few friends wanted to play the music they loved in a scene where that music didn't exist. Hoping that over time they could stand out enough to generate a following and potentially develop a new scene, they stuck with it. After several member exchanges and and a handful of mediocre songs, the band began to do just that. As their musicianship and songwriting abilities matured the band found themselves getting phone calls and emails from studios, venue owners and fellow bands to perform and record. In the first 2 years The Starship Renegade had already performed near 120 live shows.
Their first album "Reckless" took them around the West Coast and Southwest in 2014. This first tour included two major festivals, Creation Northwest and JoshuaFest. The next year, in the Summer of 2015, the band had a very successful tour that spanned the country. They played cities like Chicago, Nashville, Denver, Indianapolis, Boise, Spokane and many others. They received nothing but positive feedback and many invitations to return, which The Starship Renegade intends to do next summer.
Now that The Starship Renegade is back home and settling in, they are in the studio working on their highly anticipated EP album "We Can Pretend". In the mean time they intend to continue writing new music, create music videos, prepare for next summers tour and work hard to make their dream a reality.
