Linda began reading music shortly after learning to read words, playing the clarinet and then baritone horn for many years in a competitive marching band in the Boston area. She finally picked up a guitar at the age of 19 and has never looked back.
She has played in the Rolling Rockers, Preventable Tragedy, the Bad Neighbors and Clever Gretel. Currently she is a member of the Burlington based 60's tribute band, Mellow Yellow and plays guitar with the 7 piece, all woman band, Steady Betty. On friday mornings she can be found at the Radio Bean playing music for the next generation, their parents and caregivers.
" I feel blessed to live in such a rich musical community! I have been able to see SO much live music over the years! From the Flynn, to somebody's basement, to a club, to a field by a barn!!! All of this music has inspired and influenced me in many ways. I look at seeing live music as input, so logically my second cd is called "output". If you have seen me at your shows, there is a piece of you on this cd, too!!!! xoxoxo"
With Mellow Yellow, Linda plays electric (pink paisley, of course!), acoustic, trombone and flute. Mellow Yellow will be performing on the Moody Blues Cruise in April along side The Zombies, Roger Daltry, The Little River Band and many others. "It was an amazing experience last year playing for and meeting these great musicians!! We are so excited that we get to do it again this spring!!! We are in the midst of learning some new (old) tunes as the cruise is a "Return to the Isle of Wight". Tickets for the cruise are still currently available at www.moodiescruise.com
