A native of California, Allie has been singing for as long as she can remember. Her earliest performances were as part of her school and church choirs, starting around age seven. From there she began studying classical voice in high school, and was a member of her school's elite Chamber Choir. Soon her interest in musical theater led to an intensive involvement in musicals where performed in shows nearly back to back for a few years from high school to early college.
It wasn't until her sophomore year at UCLA, while studying English Literature, that Allie discovered jazz music. It seemed to be a melting pot of all the things she loved about music, singing, and artistic expression, all rolled into one art form. She began taking all the classes she could as a non-Music-major at UCLA. Soon, however, she ran out of classes she could take. So in the middle of her junior year, Allie auditioned for and was accepted into the Vocal Jazz Program at UCLA, only to have her petition for a double major denied because she would have too many units by the time she finished both her English and Jazz degrees. With no other choice, Allie finished her B.A. in English and kept singing.
Post-college, she heard about the Applied Music Program at Santa Monica College, which offered a Jazz Voice curriculum modeled after music conservatories. Allie auditioned and was accepted. While in the program, she grew immensely as a performer and a musician. As her voice teacher, Diana Zaslove Kahn, noticed her progress, she asked if Allie would like to go to Asia to sing for a few months at a 5-Star Hotel. Naturally, Allie said yes!
With representation by Standout Music International, one of Asia's premier talent agencies, Allie was invited to perform at China World Hotel in Beijing, China, where she sang from September of 2010 to January of 2011. Allie then returned to China in August of 2011 to perform at the China World Summit Wing in Beijing, and the Ritz-Carlton in Guangzhou.
She now resides in Los Angeles, CA and is playing shows and preparing to release her debut EP in 2014.
