In the recording studio, she's a lead singer who also does her own background vocals! And although she sings a vast number of Cover songs. Koko Conley is also a very talented song writer!
From 1994 through 2001. In Las Vegas, Nevada, Koko Conley entertained packed audiences, singing with her professional backing tracks at fine Casinos and hotel lounges! And during her stay in Vegas, she also brought her band from Kansas City out to Las Vegas to perform on some of her sets!
Koko Conley hales from the great State of Georgia! But the great State of Kansas is her home!
Her Arranger, the multi-talented, Mark Jeffery Dye! Who resides in Saint Petersburg, Florida has been Ms. Conley's arranger for nearly 20 years, and beautifully arranges her music! Dye also operates his own recording studio (Dye'Namics Recording Studio) in Saint Petersburg, Fl.! He has written compilations and movie scores! Mark Jeffrey Dye also produced and wrote a musical project for Nick Carter of The Back Street Boys titled, 'Before The Backstreet Boys'. Ironically, before meeting her arranger Mark Jeffrey Dye in 1993. Koko Conley met the Backstreet Boys in the Historic Church Street District in Orlando Fl. in 1989. It was during the filming of one of her music videos with her then musical group, 'A Piece Of The Action! And a year later, Koko personally met and talked about music with Brian Littrell at a Long John Silver's Restaurant. Long John Silvers Restaurant is where Brian worked (before The Backstreet Boys made it into stardom!). In 1978, Koko Conley met and became good friends with some of the band members of 'The Chairmen of The Board', the beach music group!
Koko Conley actually started out her musical career on the east coast in the mid 70's as a backup vocalist. And during that time period, she met and became lead vocalist with "The Rahni Harris Trio". A R&B Gospel singing group out of Hartford Ct. Koko Conley performed with Rahni Harris ( better known today as Rahni Song, from 1976 through 1978. They performed through out Hartford Ct., Rhode Island and New York. With Rahni, Koko recorded a contemporary Christian song, co-written by herself and Rahni Song, titled " I've Got A Fantastic High ". And although the song was never Nationally released. 'I've Got A Fantastic High', and some of their other works received great applause. And it received extended air play on Hartford's radio station WKND FM. In 1978 the group parted ways, and Koko moved on as a solo artist.
Ms. Conley has been a television and radio host! And while residing in Florida, she hosted and starred in her own weekly T.V. show (s) titled, "Koko's Korner", a variety showcase! A weekly show filmed live from inside (the then) Maxie's Restaurant and Lounge, at the Holiday Inn Resort Hotel on Madeira Beach, Fl..
Koko Conley was lead singer in music videos for the R&B singing group out of Tampa Bay Florida, called "A Piece of The Action", which was also a weekly TV show! Both the Koko's Korner and A Piece Of The Action Shows, aired on Paragon Cable Channel 9 off and on through 1988 until 1993!
