How long have you been playing?
This is an obtuse question, I was five when I got my first keyboard. I was born a musician.
What was the first concert you ever went to?
I couldn't tell you , early 80's. Austin, Texas. My family, we were concert driven. My first memorable concert was The Roots with Rage Against the Machine in 1997, the energy and crowd response was unbelievable.
What gear do you use?
I have a vast array of synths and keyboards, most memorably my Roland Juno-G. My favorite piece of equipment is my 1973 Rhodes suitcase electric Piano
Who was your biggest musical influence growing up?
Paul Simon or Michael Jackson. It was the 80's tapes, MTV, and the radio.
Are you in a band? Have you been in bands?
I have been in a number of bands: Muenster Emcee and the Skeleton Krew, The Dharma Bums, Vortexas, GuillaMuenster. Currently I am a solo performing act. These groups have all been Funk/Hip Hop based.
If you could jam with anyone, who would it be?
Id like to session with Miles Davis.. not to play even, but to listen, learn, and observe one of the greatest ever...
What's the biggest audience you ever performed to?
I would say the biggest audience was this years Warped Tour crowd. My most memorable performances have been the most effective to the people, for example I wouldn't trade my time on the Van's Warped Tour for anything. Playing Festivals gets your message out to so many more people than a single venue show.
You're stuck on a desert island and only get to bring one album with you. What do you pick?
Weather Report, Black Market. Overall a musical journey that can be traveled over and over again. I first heard this album in 2001. It is monumental.
