Jenny Lee & The Hoodoomen / Bio

With her bed as a stage and hairbrush for microphone Jenny Lee started singing at the age of 6. Accompanied by her mother’s 45s on her Mickey Mouse turntable she was determined to grow-up and be Elvis. The realization that this dream clearly could not be realized did not stop her from singing. By the age of 11 her bed was replaced by a real stage and by 22 she was touring the country, microphone in hand, as the lead in the National tour of Hair. She holds a BFA in Musical Theatre from the prestigious Cincinnati Conservatory of Music and an MFA in Contemporary Performance from Naropa University. She broke her voice after a long career in Musical Theatre and found herself in France where she healed her voice, found love and reconnected with the Jenny Lee who spent hours singing and dancing to Elvis. She traveled a long way to find herself back in her roots singing Rhythm and Blues with three incredible Normand Blues men from the time period of 40’s and 50’s she has always loved.
