Chris Fairbank / Bio

Giving a drum set to a thirteen year old may just be the worst idea anyone could have. But if my grandparents hadn't done just that, I'm not sure if I'd be playing music - or even interested in the music industry - like I am today.

After transitioning from the drums to guitar around my freshman year of high school, it wasn't long before I was giving writing my best shot.

In September of 2011, I released my first EP titled, "A Humble Beginning." This resulted in my nomination for "Best Male Folk Artist" at the Indie Music Channel Awards. This experience positioned me well as I prepared to release my first full-length album.

My debut album, "Letters for the Wind" was released in January of 2014 following the successful completion of a Kickstarter Campaign. It was written over the course of three years and is my reflection of relationships, loss, and troubles with the world. It was recorded and mixed at Evergroove Studios with Brad Smalling and mastered by Grammy Award winning David Glasser at Airshow Mastering.

I was also fortunate enough to have a handful of amazing musicians help me out in the process: Julie Stratton of The Mile Markers, Parker Murphy of The 10:39's, Colton Sparks, Mario Powell, and the Per Vita String Quartet.

I've already begun recording my new project and hope to have it completed sometime in 2015.
