The name Pavelow has been on the lips of Columbus, OH rock fans since 2010. However, the band that they knew then is no longer the band that exists today. With a new 5-piece line up and completely redefined sound, Pavelow came exploding back onto the Columbus local scene right near the end of 2013 and would no longer go unnoticed. Frustrated by the lack of acceptance from their scene and the lack of passion portrayed in their music and live shows, the band became determined to tear down everything they had built up to that point and start anew. Not wasting anytime after the reunion, they dropped their first brand new single entitled Bottles And Guns, a gut-wrenching force of sheer ferocity featuring a shredding opening lead and monstrously screamed verses that lead up to an unforgettably catchy chorus hook that tells a story of both anger and struggle. This was the song that would forever define the direction these boys were now headed. A day after it's release, they shot to #1 on Reverbnation Local Metal charts and the single saw airplay on their local radio station 99.7 The Blitz. Think that was enough for them? Not a chance. The following year of 2014 saw Pavelow booked solid with monthly shows and the release of another single, Sex & Cigarettes. The song is a slightly less edgy but still devastating armada of raunchy guitar chugs, head pounding double kick, and soaring vocals that show the bands ability to both be heavy and radio friendly all at once. This was their first release to be featured on iTunes and Spotify and also saw success via local radio. After much delay and the loss of 2 members, one being co-founder Scotty Seymour, Pavelow finally came in swinging to 2015 with their latest single; Pieces. A continuation of what Bottles and Guns had started, the track shows a constant evolution to what can be considered a unique sound developed by the band. It features elements of hard rock, nu-metal, deathcore, and metalcore that all comes together in a fast paced but catchy earth shattering smash hit. Considered their most popular release to date, it remains a fixture on local radio and has accumulated top sales and streams digitally. Pavelow is slated to tour the region in October 2015, making stops in Cleveland, Cincinnati, Pittsburgh, Bloomington, and Chicago.
