Mike Gacek has been a much sought after, professional musician for over 20 years – consistently performing, recording, and gaining fans throughout New England.
Currently, between Mike’s “Take Two” acoustic duo and solo shows, he performs over 200 gigs every year. He was also a founding member of the popular original rock band “Wilder Road.” The band performed regularly throughout the region for nearly 10 years, recorded two critically acclaimed CDs, received considerable radio air time, and maintained a huge fan following. “Wilder Road” was even chosen over thousands of other bands across the country to receive a cash grant award from Jim Beam Whiskey’s B.E.A.M program.
Over the years, Mike has shared the stage with the likes of Brad Delp of “Boston,” Leslie West of “Mountain,” Cory Glover of “Living Colour,” the band “Firehouse,” and Wyclef Jean. He also appeared and performed regularly on major Boston and NH area radio stations as "Mr. Instant Song." Gaining the nickname for his on-the-spot writing and performing of comedic parodies.
In 2011, Mike will be debuting his first solo CD recording of original material, which features some of the areas best musicians. And according to the record’s early reviews…some of Mike’s best music is about to be released.
With his top-notch “hooky” song writing, bluesy vocals, and clever song lyrics, New England music lovers are sure to be enjoying a lot more of Mr. Gacek for years to come.
