Unleash the caveman… we all are Primitive!
After several failed attempts and many different projects, by the end of 2007 Pako Q. Dreher joins Geronimo Leonardi, Juan Alvarado and Antonio Alvarado, who were looking for a singer for their band. Their intention was to create a band with classic metal influences that could mix different elements for other metal variations to achieve a new/classic powerful sound. A couple of months later, Miguel Del Villar join the band on drums and PRIMITIVE was born. On July 2008, the band record a Demo called “Digging my own grave” and launches it on their MySpace profile.
On May 2009, Miguel Del Villar leaves PRIMITIVE because of musical differences. Three months later, Edgar Pinto joined the band as the new drummer but since March 2010, Edgar Albarrán Joins PRIMITIVE after Pinto's departure.
The band debut on stage was at "Brutal Assault Fest" in November 13, 2008, which was the beginning of a series of gigs, including the successful "Cabimas Assault" in 2009, where they share the stage with the Colombian bands „Hedor“ and „Cuentos de los hermanos Grind“ and Pre-Gillmanfest San Francisco in front of more than 3000 metalheads in July 2011.
On January 2011 the band enter the studio and start recording their debut album entitled “Primitive”. The album was released on August of the same year. Two months later, Geronimo Leonardi and Pako Q. Dreher leave the country and Primitive enters a stand-by period.
Nowadays, Geronimo Leonardi (from USA), Edgar Albarran (from Venezuela) and Pako Q. Dreher (from Germany) are keeping the band alive, writing new songs for the Band’s next album and planning enter again in the studio in the upcoming months.
