Entering their seventh year of existence, dubious is still going strong, appealing to an eclectic and ever-growing fan base with their intoxicating "groovecore" sound. The experienced and talented musicians in the band come from an extremely diverse set of musical backgrounds, making their sound truly original. The music they play is a blend of head-bobbing grooves, highlighted by signature dynamics and rounded out by incredible female lead vocals.
By popular demand, dubious was a finalist in the 2009 KNRQ Last Band Standing competition, and their song “Aileen Aileen” appears on Eugene Weekly’s 2010 Next Best Thing Compilation CD. dubious was the featured live artist during Eugene's 2013 NBT award ceremony. Their much-anticipated studio debut, “Blinded,” was released early in 2011 to much fanfare and good press. Their second full-length recording, entitled "Sensory Deprivation," was released in 2013 and continues to fly off the "shelves" (physical and digital). A third release is expected by the end of this 2015.
