Many musical artists are easily classified into a single category . In fact, it is often the goal of modern musicians to be associated with a particular genre. Daniel Burns, on the other hand, has been called "unclassifiable". For years a San Francisco area guitar legend, Daniel combines sheer guitar virtuosity with soul-stirring musical influenecs from around the world. Daniel explains: "Music is human emotion transposed into sound. Our range of emotion changes from day to day, hour to hour. So to me it's only natural that my music reflect that. It's not something I strive for - the variety of my songs is simply a reflection of the range of thoughts and feelings that I, and indeed all of us, experience constantly. From writing music for radio , television, and soundtrack purposes, to performing with several San Francisco area rock bands, composing and recording haunting classical guitar works, Daniel's musical diversity and prowess seem to have no limit. Having performed throughout North America, Europe, and Japan, Daniel insists his musical journey has still just begun. "The more I travel, collaborate with other musicians and explore their genres, and immerse myself in the artistic expression of other cultures, the more my own horizons expand. In other words, the more I learn the more I reallize there is SO MUCH more to learn. I don't ever want that to end" While there have been plenty of accolades, including twice being named as the "Bay Area's top rock guitarist" by KSJO radio, Daniel insists he has not nearly yet reached his full guitar playing potential. "I'm always working with extremely accomplished musicians from around the world, and this has a huge impact on my continued development as a guitarist and songwriter." For all the variety, Daniel is still a rocker at the deepest levels, citing legends of the craft such as Ritchie Blackmore, Michal Schenker, and Eddie Van Halen as his earliest influences. (And we do mean EARLY, with Daniel beginning his musical instruction at age 3!) Clearly, this story is just beginning. Stay tuned.....!!!
