far*out / Bio

We first got the idea to start a band when we were in high school. We had known each other since middle school, but it wasn't until we all started listening to Oasis that we got the idea to form a band of our own. Without Oasis, there would be no far*out.

Months later we started having practice at Joe's house. We were all fans of bands such as The Beatles, The Smiths, Radiohead, Stone Temple Pilots and mostly all the bands from the 90's Britpop scene like Oasis, Blur, Ash, Supergrass, etc... so a lot of it came out in our songs.

Later on, High school ended and Charles moved to San Francisco, putting the band on a short hiatus. Word of new original songs would still travel back and forth on cassette tapes, carrying with them sparks of life and hope. A couple years later, Charles moved back to West Covina and the band started up again. Practicing and writing new songs as well as gearing up to play our first live show.

After a few years of playing shows, we recorded "The Freight Train E.P." Shortly after its release, Ray and the band parted ways, but Joe, Charles, and Chris continued on. With brand new material we were ready to record our first full length album entitled "Teenage Afterlife."
