Crowds have often described McBros Band (previously known as McCauliffe Brothers Band) as “a lot of sound for just three people,” referring to their music’s variation, depth and level of energy.” Over the past eight years, brothers Chris (guitar, vocals) and Mike McCauliffe (bass, backing vocals) have showcased their rock/funk original songs at venues throughout North Carolina, while performing with a variety of drummers. The band has a comparable rock/funk instrumentation style to the Red Hot Chili Peppers and 311, mixed in with the spacey, head music vibes of Radiohead, stacked with radio friendly melodic, pop vocals.
With a balanced combination of rock, funk, jazz, improvisation and pop, the McBros Band captivates the audience’s attention with their dynamics, catchy lyrics, uplifting melodies as well as surprise changes and transitions. Their live shows give the fans extra instrumental peaks, heavy hypnotic dance grooves, and often times teases of cover songs. Come to a show to better appreciate the sound these three musicians produce together as one.
