Wellborn Road, established in 2005, has been playing the Texas circuit regularly building their fanbase, called the Brew Crew, with a fevered passion for a Southern Metal sound that blends influences ranging from Pantera, Alice in Chains and Black Label Society to the roots of Rock N Roll itself in Led Zepplin. The quartet has shared the stage with such acts as Drowning Pool, Buckcherry, Pop Evil, Taproot, Dangerous Toys, Powerman 5000, Kill Devil Hill, Broken Teeth, Dimitri's Rail, Snake Skin Prison, Hounds of Jezebel, and countless other local acts. Wellborn Road played the House of Blues local showcase to a crowd of 900+ fans, appeared on Houston's FM station The Texas Buzz showcase multiple times, been nominated best Hard Rock of the year by the Maxima Distorzion Awards, and was a showcase act for the Austin's Texas Rockfest during SXSW two years running.
Wellborn Road has currently finished up their sophomore release, Pain-Hate-Redemption, due out later in the year. The singles, "The Mirror" and "Left Behind," released from this album showcase a more musically mature band ready to conquer the globe.
