Learning from the grit-laden soul music pumped through the water of the Muscle Shoals, Alabama area, Goose Gossett is a singer/songwriter that refuses to let genre define him. From Dylan-esque folk, to Steve Earle's country, to Wilson Pickett's Blues, all is fair game. "It all tells the story of the stuggles of life. Love, loss, right, wrong; why does a saxophone or a steel guitar dictate what a song is?"
Moving to Nashville at age 20, Gossett took the next step in his musical journey and began finding new influences in genre bending artists and songwriters like John Prine and John Hiatt. Working relentlessly with little ground gained Gossett struggled to successfully put out an album. Finally, saw the first release from Goose Gossett. "As the Fog Rolls Off the River" is an eclectic mix of everything from Folk to down right dirty blues. Romance, Politics, and a love for Alabama are all covered by the 7 song EP.
Be on the look out for Goose Gossett coming to your town.
