Formed in 2005 By Matt Alexander (Huron County Creeps, Dumb Easies, Honey Harlows, D.O.I) and Heather Revill (Cup Cakes, Dumb Easies, Tube Top) Hot Love set out to make stripped down Rock N' Roll. Soon After writing a few songs Matt Capel (Dumb Easies, D.O.I) Started Playing Bass with the Duo. They played as much as possible writing a string of songs that were later recorded on their first self titled record recorded on Roughneck Records. The Trio continued to play around the Toledo/Detroit area with bands like The Dirtbombs, The Cyril Lords, and most recently Cheap Time.
After a few years Matt Capel Left the band and was replaced by Scott Harkness (Bigfoot & the Fully Automatics, The Gouda Nuffs, Dumb Easies) on the bass. Soon after Ted Truman (Wigfur Allstars, Dumb Easies, Matt Truman Ego Trip) was invited to join the band as an additional vocalist. Joining Ted not long after that was Cory Andricks (Dumb Easies, Cupcakes) as a vocal enhancer.
Hot Love Continued to play as much as possible and started work on their second full length album "Let's Touch" in 2009. Soon after recording the album Matt moved to Arizona and the band went on a break. But in the fall of 2012 Hot Love started back up adding James Clark (Bigfoot & the Fully Automatics, The Gouda Nuffs, Dumb Easies) on guitar and started reworking all their songs and the late recordings on 'Let's Touch".
