Growing up in Africa, Hip Hip was always around me and it influenced my life in many ways, even from a very young age. It was my outlet, my way to express how I felt through these words of emotion. But when I was young it was more of a way to deal with everything that was going on around me. As I grew up though I went from just listening to it as music to writing my own words, my own stories, to express how I felt through different experiences and situations. Despite all the negativity that around me while in high school, I kept going. A lot of people didn't understand what this music was to me, a lot of them told me that this "rap thing" would turn into nothing. A lot of things have changed since then and people have begun to understand and appreciate my music for what it is. My sadness at the lack of imagination and creativity in this game has always led me to rap bout life experiences, every day life, my trials and tribulations and basically just keeping it real. I've never been one to create a new dance or talk bout money/cars/hoes etc.. because that's not why I rap. I do it because it's something I love to do and it's something that to me always puts things in perspective.
Shout outs to BC, Benny B & O'Smeasy of GENIUS!!
